WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK HAVE A LOOK

i was thinking again (which is hard for me lol)i hope i can ask this question on this site

Anyway i was thinking about making a cookbook(recipes done by all of us) a basic covered one with the minti details on it sell it to ourselves, half pays for the book to be made and sent ,then the other half to charityor something. this way we love and cherish something from minti and also minti gets a plug each recipe will have the minti members name etc. Its just an idea unless some one else comes up with something else i think it would be fun .

i hope it makes sense i have this great idea but just don't no how to put it into words

That sounds like an excellent idea. I have heaps of recipes also i could contribute. Maybe if you contact one of the founders of minti like rachel or angieh matthew etc, and see what they think of it all.

I would say to contact Matthew about this.

By the way, there is something called lulu.com (self-publishing)... e-books are a little different to make as they do use XML language, but you could always just compile it in and save it as a PDF file... or you could hire a freelancer (very cheaply) to create the e-book.

what about an e-book?

What about an e-book. It might be easier to put together and as we are all always on the net anyway we can all easily buy it. Also could be sold on e-bay.

Just check with Clay, Matt etc. to make sure that using the minti name to sell stuff isn't against any of their charter rules etc. Good idea though.

Here is a group that's been going for nearly as long as minti has where many of us have written down recipies. Thought it might be a good place to start.

I HAVE CONTACTED MATT TO CHECK ,ALL PROCEEDS GO TO A CHILDRENS CHARITY , NOT REALLY UP WITH THE E BOOKS I JUST THOUGHT OF HAVING SOMETHING WHERE WE CAN ALWAYS KEEP AND I LOVE COOKBOOKS BUT I LIKE THE IDEA OF SELLING IT ONLINE ASWELL LETS MAKE HEAPS OF$$$$$$$$$$$$ WHILE PROMOTING MINTI

yup

Cool. From what I can gather from e-books, it's basically written out like a real book, chapters etc, but instead of YOU having to pay for it to be printed, published etc. You just sell it like a file and who ever buys it can down load it and print out as much of it as they want, or keep it on a disk THEY burn it too etc.

Minimal expense for the publisher, just thought it would keep costs way down and it would be out quicker.

Just a suggestion, I've seen them on e-bay.

I think it is a great idea,I am sure some of the minti mother's would have that type of skill in working out how to do it.Sorry I am not that way inclined but will help in any way I can if it was to come to fruitsion.(See i can't even spell lol )
