This is a rather sad post, but, I have searched the web, and am not happy/satisfied with anything i have as yet dug up.
My eldest daughter passed away unexpectedly on Monday, and all I am trying to find is a nice song for the service, she was 14 years old, but had severe disabilities.
Please if any mums or dads know of any good/appropriate music please let me know.
I have looked/listened to a couple but they just dont seem right.
Looking for help here guys, nothing is silly, please let me know, so I can check them (the songs) out.
The songs i would pick would be "you are my sunshine"
or "You are the sunshine of my life" by Stevie Wonder ,im not sure who sings the other one." you are so beautiful to me " is another lovely song or the "Green sleeves". Hope this helps im so sorry again for your loss and give you all my blessing and strengths.
this my not be the right song for you but the song that was played for my wife live with bagpipes in the back ground was a song from green day called "Time of your life"

i have no words that can take your pain away the song i could suggest along with other mums is tears in heaven by eric clapton as it is about the loss of his son. Anything that made her happy would be fitting.

I hope this isn't too odd a suggestion but 'into my arms ' by nick cave and the bad seeds is stunning,very soulful,soft and the lyrics are simple and loving about there being some kind of heaven and a journey being taken

I was going through some songs on our media player and found a few that you might like. Miss You In A Heartbeat by Def Leppard is a lovely song, as is Tears In Heaven by Eric Clapton. I'm sure any song you pick will be perfect for this sad occasion. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

the most heartfelt song ive heard would be on the album celine dion recorded to accompany an anne geddes book called miracles. it is just a gorgeous collection of songs, she even covers a couple of classics. my heart goes out to you and your family.
hey im am so sorry for your loss but i was touched by your story maybe wind benith my wings by bette middler, always there kate alxea or i that they are more of a heavy band but it is a beautiful song as we used it last year for my young brother it is by disturbed and its called darkness or one sweet day

The past few days has been a blur, totally surreal, but as a mum, I want to get things perfect for my girls goodbye. I cannot thank enough all the caring members that have both sent there thoughts and prayers/wellwishes.
Its nice to know there are so many caring people still around in our world. The amount of times I have blinked back tears to read ur posts is a credit to you all and I thank you.
Now I have to find a pen to check out all the songs, I have gone with Mariahs "one sweet day: for the service and "tears in heaven" for the burial, if I find one that suits better, thanks to all your suggestions I will use it.
