Are you giving panadol or ibuprofen? If you are and her temp is still 40 degrees C then you need to take her to the hospital.

When a childs temp (especially at such a young age) rises to quickly and to usually above 39-40 they can have a febral convulsion. This is usually harmless but it can be dangerous.

I would recommend either panadol or ibuprofen every 4-6 hours as directed and if her temp doesn't go down to around 38 take her to the emergency and do not leave, though they will usually take a high temperature seriously.

Good Luck and please let us know what you do and how she is.

homopathy

I belive in this big time

I don't give my son panadole unless hes temp is over 5 degrees over normal temp and then only half a dose. If I am worried that he's uncomfortable I give him a tepid bath.

the whole reason our bodys get temps is this is how our bodies fight bugs so if you keep killing the temp the body carn't fight off the bug and we stay sick.

panodol and nurophen
Did you read that advice?

I just rang my doctor and he said not to ever do that because it can cause lots of complications like liver failure, dehydration and an upset tummy.

He was very very adamant that it is VERY dangerous for the child.

So if I was you I would not be doing that.

charlotte has a high temp

Hi there! I went through this on Wednesday. I would take her to the doctors if its still open or if not take her in the morning. For now give panadol to break the fever and remove some of clothing until she breaks her temp. Give her water and lots of it if you can or  weak cordial. I dont believe it would be a headache but i wouldnt no. I would get a second opion dont just leave it a t that. Please take care and let me know the out come.

Hugs Tee
