Hi all i'd like to find out what names have minti members ever seen or used with odd spelling. My daughter will be called Camryn and lots of people have said that was strange...but it still is cameron no matter how its spelt.True but i like to be different ...what about everyone here...
ok talk about weird spelling, i have 3 girls who have what everyone calls boy names oh well i love it, first theres JORDYN, then MACKENZIE, and then theres little RHYLEAGH, i have had so many people comment on Rhyleagh's name it is spelt unusually you can blame hubby for that one he plays a huge part when it comes to naming and choosing how to spell it, i think he did great the third time around lol
i think camryn is a nice name for a girl, it's what you like that matters as you will call them more than anyone else will lol
good luck sweets
When we had Isabella we wanted to add her godfathers name in as he and my partner have a very special relationship. (their god brother's) We ended up calling her Isabella Cheyne ( pron shane) as a result. A lot of people thought it was a little strange considering it's a boys name but it really suits well.
hi people thought that i was mad when i called my son mackenzie in the uk its not widely used but in the us its a girls name more than anything. and when i wanted to find out its origin its from scotland altered slightly but in the uk its more a last name but i like. i find it strange when people call there kidz rielly as its my sur name but yes you go original i like lexi if i have a girl nxt
Also, my cousins soon to be wife is Shantell, my friends daughter is Lillea. There are so many different ways you can spell any name - who cares what anyone else thinks it's great to be an individual!
my partner's name is kiall. the welsh spelling... and loads of people get it wrong for some reason... with my kidlets logans name is quite common orion isn't so thats his unique bit and bug's is rhiannon juliet... her firstname is quite unique... they both have astronomical middle names because it is a hobby of mine... i often get queries where juliet fits in to that... answer, juliet is a saturnian satelite as are most of shakesperes woman...
Hi the names of my children are spelt a little different but not uncommon. Jazmin (Jasmine) Hollie (Holly) Aleisha(Alicia). I guess there are many ways to spell a name, and who is to say whats wrong and whats right. I have seen names spelt the same as my girls but at the time of naming them, i had yet to see it spelt that way!
i love making a name look unique just by changing the way its spelt :)
i think its a great and original idea for parents who see alot of the name they like going around :)
Like my name for eg. Supposed to be spelled Chantelle or Chantal, but my mum decided to spell it Chantell (no 'e' at the end). Sooo many people spell it wrong it aint funny but it doesnt phase me one bit.
When i was pregnant and knew 99% i was having a boy, i had a few names picked out..
I loved the sound of the name Cohen, so i decided to spell it the way i like and spelled it as 'Koen'.
other names i liked was Erik, and Evin or Evan.
For a girl i like Ashlynne (Ashlin).
i've seen Bae-Leigh, Bayleigh, Baylei, Bailee, Bailey, Baily, Baillei and I'm not sure even which is the right way for it. There are boys and girls with this name too and I'm not even sure if it started as a girls or boys name. I had a Temryn once, which was a little girl and the parents used the first letter their names and their parents (the child's grandparents) names and made up a name that really suited the child.
I work in child care, so I've seen my fair share of different spelling, I can't remember them all but a few are; Emalee, Emilie, Nicolas, Izabel, Abrielle. My oldest is Zak.
I like it without the 'h' which is the European way of spelling it. Just a personal preference of mine that's all, not knocking other people's preferences at all.
Yes I apparently spell my childrens names funny ,my daughter is Kaitlyn which most people are Caitlin and I have a Johnathon apposed to jonathon, and it used to annoy me with the teachers ,when they would write my childrens names on their on things and not write their name correctly.
my dauhter's name is Shamika (shar-meeka) most people get it right but then soem still get it wrong. i also like different spellings and different names, my kids are called Sabrina, Seth, Shamika, Sasha and soon to be Sebastian or Shahni (Sharni)
My daughter vivienne would have been sebastian blaine if she turned out to be a girl..its a great name.Except when people say "isnt that the lobster from the little mermaid" ..lol
Well, my name is Teshia - pronounced Teesha - so I guess that's weird. My friends son is called Brayden - which I had never seen spelled that way - I have a few friends with the middle name Jayne - mine is just plain Jane - I have a friend Rachael not Rachel. I like names that are spelled differently, pity my hubby doesn't! My boys are just plain Jack & Oscar - not that I would change that for anything but I may have speled them differently!
