Re: 3rd birthday party!!!!
Well seeing that it is a 3rd birthday and not a "major" one (not that all birthdays are not special) i would be ok for a combined i think. If it was say a 5th or 10th, then I would definately be having a single party. So, u should feel fine about leaving the fire cracker in the drawer till then! lol

Re: 3rd birthday party!!!!
I think it would be great to have a combined birthday party.  We went to one recently with a Hi5 theme and it was for a girl turning 3 and her sister turning 5.  There birthdays are a day apart.  They had their own friends there, they had all the food set out together and played 2 lots of games, because they did different things.  But they were still free to play each others' games of course too.  They had 2 groups of pass the parcel happening at the same time side-by-side and it was a great day.  Lots of kids though, all the playgroup friends of one child and all the preschool friends of the other child.

Re: 3rd birthday party!!!!
its a great idea to have them both joined up for one party and it saves you from doing it all again and asking people and family members over yet again ,, like the other mum said two cakes for two special children xxx have fun,,

Re: 3rd birthday party!!!!
what a great idea as that means that you can get all out the way at the same time.. I wish i could that with my children but the 2 older ones would spit it..

My suggestion would still have 2 cakes as well on the day and explain to the little ones what you are doing...

Good luck and i be thinking of you, as my chloes bday is on the 12th june and we have had to have separate parties due to school holidays here in tassie and thats stressful enough...

Re: 3rd birthday party!!!!

At that age I would probably combine them together, but have it between the 2 birthdays. I used to do that to my older ones whose birthdays are 1 month apart. Makes it easier on yourself. But still have the little family party on the day of their birthday.
