Re: help with implanon

hi

I have the implanon and I think it's great

I had little problem with bleeding at the start when I got it but the Doc gave me a 50mg shot of the implanon injection (the one you can get every 3 mounths) and it stoped I havent bleed cince then and I'm in my third year about to get my second

I got terrible cramps before i got the implanon now I don't any cramps at all also I have lost 22kg cince i got it

I think everybody is drifferent it may be a problem for some and great for others you don't know till you try

arrrgh! the infamous implanon! nuthin but trouble if u ask me! i didnt bleed at all but a friend of mine did...continuously for 13 months! i had mine and gained 30 kilos! it took 2 hours to dig out of my arm with 2 docs working together, it had grown fiberous ewww and i fell pregnant that night...with twins. sorry im biast but i hate the bloody thing its nuthin but trouble and most docs and midwifes at maternaty that i have seen agree.

Re: help with implanon
I had it put in while breastfeeding and it was ok (as its progesterone only).  I didn;t bleed at all during the three years I had it in, but I understand that for many people it goes the other way - heavy and frequent periods.  I didn;t have any side effects - except that I could not lose weight no matter what I did.  As soon as I had it out the weight came off - mmmmm....  (even though the dr insisted it had nothing to do with my weight!).

Second time around I have gone an IUD, much against my original feelings and it seems to be working OK so far.
