Baby shower question

I have a friend who has a 14 month old boy and is pregnant again. Can she have another shower (especially if she has a girl)? Or is this inapproiate?

Re: Baby shower question
its not inapproaite at all. i have 3 children and had baby showers for all of them, regardless of how much the gorverment provides now, its nice for family and friends to celebrate the news of the pregnancy. as the way i look at it, when i had mine my last was not planned and there is 4 years the diffrence between the girls, and it was a good plan to have my 3rd...

A baby is a time for joy. She can have as many showers as she wants. You can never have enough baby goods. I wish her well.

Re: Baby shower question

Don't see why it would be inappropriate. I didn't have baby showers for either of mine but I would say you could have as many as you want! It's a celebration of the child, not just a gift giving party.

Can't see why not. Each child has a Christening or Naming if you are into that, each child has a birthday. They are all individual and I would certainly not hesitate going to someone's baby shower for a second or third etc child. Leisa

Re: Baby shower question
I don't see how it would be inappropriate.  To me it's about the baby, and that baby hasn't had a baby shower yet.  I never had one but had lots of people come to see us and give her lots of things when she was born. I didn't need to buy clothes for 3 months!  Congratulations on your friend's upcoming arrival, and I say if she wants a baby shower for this baby, she can have one.  Who argues with a pregnant woman anyway

Re: Baby shower question
i had one , i wanted another as i was having a girl and had NOTHING, but i decided not to throgh one as i felt to stink to have another. If she wants one by all means have one. If not you always get prezzies when bubs is born, well i recieved as many pressies for bubs as i would of at a shower anyway!

Re: Baby shower question
i don't think another shower is inappropriate.  she might need different kinds of things this time around--like coupons for meals brought in or some other measure that would make it easier when she has two.

Re: Baby shower question
I am not sure on the protocol for baby showers, but I cannot see why it would be inappropriate. To me it is the celebration for the new arrival. I went to the baby shower of a friend who was having her third baby.. so I would say go for it!!
