implantation bleeding?

my husband and i have been trying for a little one for nearly 3 months now, we've been checked out by our doctor we both fine to concieve.

i had my implanon taken out around march an was told that i may not get pregnant straight away, ever since my period has been irregular.

this last month we decided to track my ovulation and therfore have been intimate every second night prior to and for about 1 week after our expected ovulation this was nearly 2 weeks ago, since last thursday i have been feeling sick and on occasion thrown up this has been every day since, the last 2-3 days i've had sore breasts and headaches, this week i'm also overly tired.

my problem is that yesterday i had a very small amount of blood on the tissue paper when i went to the toilet, however today i had the same but it got heavier and i had some cramping nothing horrible but enough to feel it.

i've been told it could be implantation bleeding, i was just wondering what that is and can be heavy like a normal period, also how long does it last?

thanks in advance for any and all replys

Re: implantation bleeding?
Have you tried looking at this? There are some items there about implantation bleeding and how long it normally goes for.

Re: implantation bleeding?

I had 2 miscarriages and spotted with both of them and was assurred by the OB nurse it was normal. I had no spotting and no syptoms of preg. with our son.

BUT...... every one is diffferent. My sister had cramping and a little bleeding.

Talk to the OB and they can do an ultrasound to check and a blood test. Hope all goes well.

Re: implantation bleeding?

Have you done a pregnancy test?  You should give that a try, and then if you can't stand it, I would get the doctor to refer you for a ultrasound.  I miscarried my first pregnancy at 9 weeks.  But before that I spotted, then bled irregularly for about a week before I finally miscarried.  I REALLY don't want to scare you, but I think it is best to look at all possible outcomes, and trust me when I say that you wouldn't want to be anywhere when you miscarry except for home.  What they referred to as the "products of conception" passed and was about the size of an egg (a chicken egg).

This is only my experience, and hopefully you will get a happy healthy baby from this current pregnancy.  Your sickness is a good sign, it says your hormones are strong, I just wouldn't want anyone to be caught out of the house with a miscarriage.

Incase things don't go to plan, I should mention that I got pregnant straight after miscarrying without a period in between and that pregnancy is now 4 yo:)

Take care.  Find a sympathetic doctor, one that will give you the answers that you need, damn the cost.  I found out from an ultrasound that I was going to miscarry, and htis put my mind somewhat at ease because at least I knew what was happening.

Re: implantation bleeding?
hey there, I had implantation bleeding twice(2 term pregnancies) My first lasted 4 days going from light (barely there) to medium flow etc. My second was a barely there showing for around 2-3 days. Both times I had mild to mid strength cramping and discomfort. It sounds to me that you may very well be pregnant...just take it easy and lay off coffee/alcohol etc (not that you are indulging) You could go get some early pregnancy tests or better yet blood tests to confirm for you.Best of luck Hugs Crystal xx
