differing pregnancy results

according to my calcuations (and doctors) I am 81/2 weeks pregnant. I have done 3 home tests throughout this time and they are all positive.  I have just been to the doctors and the test he did came back with only a very faint positive result.  I have now had all of the blood tests etc done and get the results of those tomorrow. Just wondering has anyone else had this happen?  I'm starting to wonder if I am 81/2 weeks pregnant or not.

Re: differing pregnancy results

Thanks for all of your advise.  I has made me feel a lot better.  I was starting to get worried that I might not be pregnant.  I get the test results back today so I'll still keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks again everyone

Re: differing pregnancy results

Pregnancy tests can give false negatives - I had 3 with my second & I was definetly pregnant as he's on my knee now! - but hey don't give false positives. You should know how far along you are, may be that the time of day the doc did the test there wasn't  as much hormone in your urine. Congrats!!!!!

Re: differing pregnancy results
i had this prob with daughter. i did a test at home and at the doc and it was a quick dark line then had an ultrasound that said i wasnt pregnant yet i was. the lady who did the ultra sound said that i just had a lot of hormone to say i was pregnant thus the extreem vomiting and all that yuckiness. but i was only a few weeks like 2-4.

Re: differing pregnancy results
I think you are.The doctors said i might be preganant at four weeks after i was checking the pregnancy tester every Friday and the results said positive and then at 9 weeks they confirmed it.I think you are pregnant because the doctor said you might be and the pregnancy tester said positive. You just might be still in shock that you are pregnant again.

Thanks, I'm not in shock. Just hoping that I am and not wanting to think about if I'm not.
