he want to walk!!!!

Mackenzie has developed sooo much he can get him self up in his travel cot took me a while to figure that out i walk throgh after doing washing up and think im sure i did'nt stand him up lol, did i ??? no seen him today yay!!!

The problem is he's not to happy in his walker he throw's his toy's and is getting very frustrated but if i stand him in travel cot he will only shiffel rd holding on, i can't be there to help him all the time and he wants my constant attention to play.

What do i play with him and what will keep him occupied whilst i clean up and prepare tea etc he has alot of toys but no- longer seems intrested what did you use at this age to curb the frustration of a fast developing child???

Re: he want to walk!!!!

I invested in a Jolly jumper for my daughter.  She had a great time jumping around giggling and carrying on.  It was very handy as she could see what I was doing whilst having fun.

Otherwise it is easiest to run around like a mad woman when he is asleep to get all of the houseworke etc done so that you can devote all of his awake time to him.

Have fun

Re: he want to walk!!!!

Your fun is about to start lol!!! The only thing that both my kids would wanna play with at that stage was the hippo. They would keep trying to pull them selves up on it and i would stand them up so the could try to walk all by them selves.

hippo

Good luck my dear it a stage im glad is finished with me but also such a milestone as well

Unfortunately that's how they get when they start getting mobile - bugger the toys they want to get up & go & mum needs to help me! lol! Have fun hunni & enjoy it while he wants your help cause as he gets bigger he gonna want to be independant & leave you out!

Re: he want to walk!!!!

Great times huh  James started standing up like this in his crib and travel cot (which I use as a play pen) from around 11 months. To be honest in the play pen I removed his hard toys and left him to walk around, his crib still scares me as it is really hard wood and I am always scared he will fall.

Now James is walking around more, I only do housework now when he is asleep, then the rest waits until my husband gets home then he can keep and eye on James or the weekend. I tend to spend all the time taking him to playgroups or the park or playing with him. Whilst I cook dinner I sit James in his high chair with either some finger foods to play with (I would say eat but I should be so lucky!!) and I sing and talk to him whilst preparing everything.

Good luck Jo and enjoy this wonderful time!
