Well now that you have discussed it with him, it might pay to lend him a helping hand and some support.  He won't go and get checked if you play the heavy, however he may come around if you ease off and make him feel better about the situation.

It is a tough one, however he must be rather smitten to have taken all of this on, so be there for him and give him a little trust and see what happens.

Perhaps you could print out some stats and info on hep C from the web......It is very difficult for all of you and I guess as your Son is an adult all you can do is be there for him and your grandchild.Maybe you could all find out the info needed to deal with this illness together this way you will all have the same information and there will be less chance of being accused of  giving mis-information(not that this is happening,but it just might)or perhaps dramatizing the illness(you know how the younger ones tend to think they are bullet proof) Hope this helps Hugs Crystal xxxx

While Hep C is a big problem, and can be sexually transmitted, your son is in a better position.
The risk of him contracting Hep C from this girl is highly unlikely.  If it were the other way round then I would be concerned.

Your son is old enough to make his own decisions and even if you don't agree with them, you need to respect that your baby has made a choice.  Heart wrenching I know, but we can't make decision for them all their lives.

Have you done any research into the subject?  I think you will be surprised at what you find.  You can talk to a family planning advisor as they deal with families in similar situations all the time.

Just trust that he will be careful and that he will do what is right for him, the girl and the baby.
