Re: nappy rash
We have had the same problem with all of ours.  We change our brand everytime we need more.  this is working.  The reason?  I think their skin builds up a resistance to the products and a change means new substances and better results.  We also use Curash Powder as one of our alternatives.  absorbs moisture and helps to clear nappy rash already present.  it makes them smell good too!  Like musk lollies!  Good enough to eat! lol.

Re: nappy rash

Hi

My daughter used to be prone to nappy rash regardless of how often i changed her. I tried bepanthen, zinc and castor, everything but I found a brilliant one called Dactazin. it has an anti fungal in it just incase your little one does have a slight fungal infection. Once the rash cleared, 2 days tops, I used to apply every 3-4 days just to keep things all ok. Definately worth the $15 and bought from the chemist.

Re: nappy rash
I always used Bepanthen. It was really good. But I found that leaving them without the nappy for a while was the best thing.

Re: nappy rash
As others have said, I have always used papaw ointment and sun. Recently I discovered another fantastic product when starting my home based business - Arbonne nappy rash cream, but you can only get this from consultants. Give the papaw oint & sun a go - it works wonders!

Re: nappy rash
Hi there I found a cream called metanium brilliant but i don't think it can be bought in Oz but a tub of cream called nappy paste is really really good, It s thick stuff but provides a complete barrier for when bottoms have broken skin. I found i only used it when she was sore or at night as that tends to be the longest time in one nappy. Don't feel bad though my little girl got bad rash even when she was being changed every hour, so it can develope very fast. At times it's a sign of teathing as their pee changes. Good luck x

Re: nappy rash
I had the same problem with my son,  the nappy rash was so bad it would bleed at times.  I found that when you do a nappy change make sure the genitals are dry leave nappy off for a few minutes to ensure dryness.  Then I would puts loads ( cake it on) of sudocream on before putting the nappy on.   It worked for me.  I hope it works for you.  If it doesn't best option is to go and see your doctor just to be on the safe side.

Re: nappy rash
Its quite hard for babies to get nappy rash if you change their diaper frequently and wash the skin thoroughly. Only time my son got was when he was 2 and had very bad runny poos. If you are doing all this and its not working then maybe it is a yeast infection,my sonn got this once and canestan cream worked a treat. Cleared up almost overnight!

I agree with the Canistan... it is an anti fungal cream and works wonders. Another natural remidie is plain yoghurt... funny but it works.

Re: nappy rash
It seems absurd but SUN!  Lachlan had nappy rash so bad for weeks that it was actually bleeding.  I felt so bad and helpless as the copious amount of zinc cream I put on him did NOTHING.  After his morning nap, I simply laid him in the sun coming an a window for 15 minutes for 3 days in a row and it was almost gone!  MIRACLE!!!!

Hi
Bepanthan, paw paw cream or if the rash is fungal like your child has been on antibiotics plain yoghurt with acidopholos is good.  Yummy to finish of if you don't use it all too lol
