Consider yourself very luck that you have in laws there for you. My in laws are all the way in Europe and we are in NZ so we only get to see them maybe once a year.

Ahh the inlaws. Now i get along great with my inlaws, they just want to spend time with you and the kids. I know its hard but maybe you just need to explain you are very busy. Im sure they'll understand.

Lock the door and take the phone off the hook and don't worry about it. Thats what I do when I don't feel like seeing anyone. Why make yourself miserable trying to make everyone else happy? It's their problem. Let them deal with it.
