My son is the same.. And boy does he have strong legs.... It is so hard to pry them open to get the nappy in between..

It's hard for  a poo nappy but if it is just pee, I change my son while he is standing.. The poo on is a little harder I distract him with a toy.. But as i said for a pee it is so much easier just to change him and wipe him up while he is standing. and he is so much  happier about it....

I am not the only one then?  Wow!  Hello and welcome to the world of newly found independence ( hers).  It is extremely frustrating!  We make nappy time a game.  Tickle her tummy and blow raspberries.  Ours  loves that!  We also play peek a boo and other games, sooo many I can't think of them right now! lol.  Baby brain syndrome. lol.  I wish I could say it gets easier, but.... so I wont and leave it at that! lol  Good luck hun.

The only thing that worked for our cranky diaper changes over here was to talk really animated, fast and to say silly things.  It was exhausting but anything is better than getting a foot in the eye when you are trying to change a diaper.  LOL

my sons doing the same thing at one he hates it!!!! but I find if i undress him and tk his nappy of while standing well providing he only done a wee it cuts down on the comotion we tryed the toy thing but it only worked for so long so now he has a wonder nappyless then some potty time and then when its time for nappy to go back on have everything ready as you know they move fast but he prefers if i do it on my knee and blow rasberrys on his tummy, hard work for mummy but it all helps and no more screaming woo hoo lol

Get a special toy that she only gets to play with while getting her nappy changed (easy clean just incase).
