When your child gets sick, how often do you catch what they have?
I feel a bit silly asking this q which is why i chose to be anonymous. But when your child/children gets sick, do you always catch what they have, rarely or sometimes?

Depends on how strong your immune system is. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water each day - that will keep your mucus membranes in good working order which will help to keep your defenses strong.

I have a 2 1/2 year old and 3 month old twins, I very rarely get what they get. Well, my twins haven't gotten sick yet.... but with my son, I don't get what he has and during those rare times that I do, I got different symptoms than him.

Very rare, I think I must have a high imune system, but I rarely get sick, occasionally I will get a touch of what they get, but I recover pretty quick
Re: When your child gets sick, how often do you catch what they have?
Yep, and it usually happens at school holiday time. Each of the kids gets sick in turn (never at the same time) and I am the one that has to look after them. Then hubby invariably gets it, and by the time it has finished, and I have time to calm down and slow down (usually in the holidays) then it is my turn. Looking after myself let alone all the kids home, it is a nightmare. You are not alone. It is just that we are exposed to it by looking after them that it is inevitable I think.

I don't know why but it seems (I hope I don't jinx myself), that when ever my little fellow is ill I have never caught what he has. But the hubby is usually the unlucky one..
I believe it has something to do with the fact that I am so active looking after hubby and son (as we all know most hubbys when sick feel like they are dying..) that the bug just can't get a grip on what ever it needs to in side me to hold on and make me sick...

No question is silly!
Every time Ry ( 15 months old ) has had a cold, both me and my husband have both caught it off him...He has had 4 colds... But he had gastro twice and neither of us got that.
