Re: Drying up breast milk
I had to stop my milk supply as i fell pregnant when my baby was 8 months she went off the milk. So what i did was if i felt too uncomfortable express a little not much and then keep doing this when its uncomfortable. Eventually i think a couple of weeks it was all ok and it dries up.

Hope this helps.

Re: Drying up breast milk

There are medications you can take, but in lieu of that, this sounds weird but it does work...

Freeze a few cabbage leaves and then put them over your breasts and wrap your breasts very firmly with a long strip of cloth. I'ts constricting, uncomfortable, and can even get a little painful for a day or so, but it works rather effectively. You just have to keep changing the leaves for more frozen ones every few hours. Just re-cycle them by throwing them back in the freezer.

Or you can take the slow method that isn't as viciously uncomfortable, by just extracting less and less milk, less and less often. You'll produce less and it'll eventually dry up when you get to the point where you're not extracting anything.

Cheers, DA.
