Re: Taking nappy off?
Hi,
My little grub did this and thought it was wonderful! By 15 months the nappy only managed to stay on at night or when she needed to poo( whole other story!) She refused point blank to have anything to do with a potty! We were lucky in a) it is warm where we live, b) we had no near neighbours! She used to wee outside on the grass! As she got better at knowing when she had to go, we used to race upstairs to the loo! When she was big enough to manage, we got a step and a toilet seat ( only lasted until she was 20 months old when she announced she was a big girl and didn't need the seat -but mummy can you hold me so I don't fall in!) We also got some undies for her to wear instead of nappies and there were a few accidents in the first week or so - I think it was a huge suprise the first couple of times to find wee trickling down the legs- to start with but she quickly warmed to the idea of them! In fact she loved her undies and hasn't looked back!
A couple of times ( Dad decided to leave her for too long when she woke up after a daytime nap one day when I was working as she "sounded happy" ) she decided to explore the possibilties of poo and how far it could be flung around the room! It is always fun when they decide they are independent and can do things for themselves!
Ideas then: 1: toilet seat
2. step
3. Thank goodness the weather is warming up
4. undies
5. Good luck!
