My 8 month old has terrible hard snots. I tried snot pump, but does not come out. When she was until 7 months she`d let me go through with my pinky finger and i `d take it out gently. But now she turns her face away from me and pushes my hand away and cries, since she knows that my finger is going near her nose. She breaths very hard, due to her stuffed nose. My question is that : How do i make it easy to get it out ? Please help.
Thanks to all my MINTI friends who responds.
If your kids like mine and hates the fess drops and pump there is another spray called Sterimar. You can buy it at most chemists or online chemists.
It is a saline spray, but it is a soft aerosol, and can be used on newborns as well (it's sooo soft). The nozzle is removeable for cleaning, so can be used by multiple people.
I use it a lot cos grub has terrible sinuses (genetic), or when the weather is dry or we have to fly.
I would say a saline solution like fess. Helps to soften up the snot then keep it away but can only be used for a certain number of days in a row I think. But definetly give it a go!
We had similar troubles with one of ours. Probably not the best thing to do, but we had to use a cotton bud and sometimes even tweezers to remove the hard snots. I had to become an excavator. But we made it into a fun game at the same time. Leisa
ok now i found that you are not in australia ,, ask your chemist if they do have it there , or your doc,, or if they have something like it ,, if not put her in the bath for a little play time this is a pic of that the product looks like here to give you an idea of what im talking about
get little fess from the chemist ,,it has saline soloution drops that you put in the nose that soften it up they also have a little sucker that you use to suck the gunk out with it .. i even find that when my little ones plays in the bath that also the gunk gets all soft with the water splashing arround as a little gets in their nose and that also makes it soft to get out ...but little fess for noses i have found great
