i was also pregnent with little sausage at 35 years old ,, i just had to go through more tests to make sure he was going to be ok just something they do and it was all good ,, they just make sure you are not carrying a down syndrome baby etc ,the risk just gets a little higher the more we age ,, as we age so does all our insides ( oh great lol ) dont worry too much they will just have you go through more tests thats all making sure you have a healthy bubba
everyone is right, seems to be from 35 upwards. Of course each pregnancy is different and you can always request extra tests (eg nuchal translucency fold scan) via your gp if the hospital wont do them and you are concerned. i had this done with my last two pregnancies and along with blood tests the risk came back very low so i went no further, although it was routine for me as i'm 41, omg that sounds so old!!
Hi, I think you'll be fine as you have had other pregnancy. However, I would check with your doctor specifically as he knows your medical history. I had my first child a week before I turned 43. He does have issues, but his father did too...
I had Jaydee at 35 and came in just under the age where they like to do extra tests... Also, as Stephen and I were both very fit (and he is heaps younger than me), they were pretty happy that all would be good - which it was.
Don't even worry about it, everyone is different, as is every pregnancy, regardless of age.
Here, doctors consider women who will be 35 at time of birth to be high-risk. Of course at this age, you'll be on the lower end. Increase risk of things increases for older women. But if a woman will be 35 at time of birth, there are more office visits during the pregnancy.
