Have any of you bought the toy Bindeez - it is deadly

Has anyone bought the toy Bineez - it was voted toy of the year this year  but Doctors have discovered the beads turn into gamma hydroxy butyrate GHB a date rape drug when in contact with liquid or swallowed by a child. A friend of mine had bought one and was wondering what to do. There is only one thing to do - take it back and get a refund - let the distributer get rid of the problem. If it gets into any water ways by throwing it away - it will harm the environmnet  as well and this will impact our kidz later. Fornow get it away from all kids - even depressed teens who may find out what it can do. Take care everyone. L&L Robyn

I've seen this on the news alot lately.  They are saying that the chemical that coats the beads, which is what binds the together changes.  They said that there were several children who ingested them and when into comas or became unconcious.  After finding out that the drug metabolizes into a date rape drug, they pulled them off the shelves.  They are urging all parents to return them to the stores for refunds and to watch out for any signs of ingestion.  Be very careful with these toys, in the US they are call AquaDots....

I was thinking of getting some.  It is funny how they have been out for over a year now, but this problem is just emerging.  I'm waiting to see what the findings are.  I feel that maybe there has been a sabotage on the product.  My recommendation with any toys is to watch your kids with it.  i also feel that the poisoning cases that have occurred after the recall are due to parents who don't care.  Get her to take them back.  It is compulsory for her to do so, or they won't pay compensation if something happens.  They also have to give a full refund!
