Re: constipated

Very small amounts of cheese is good, and for the constipation, give watered down orange juice a try.

Re: constipated
Hi, I have had the same trouble with both of my boys. The best thing to do is watch the cheese intake as it can block them up - my boys love cheese too! Also try giving prunes (the ones in the tin are easier to start with as they are really soft) and mixing them with his food (my boys will just eat them as they love them), but only give one for a start. Pears are also great, but avoid apples as they can actually constipate them (my doc told me this). Lots of water and milk - offer water with meals. Feel free to minti mail me if I can help anymore!

Along with what everyone else said... keep up the water/milk. Offer fluids whenever you give solids.

Re: constipated

cheese is very likely the culprit, i would advise not giving cheese till at least 1 year old, its one of the hardest things for the human body to break down and thats in adults.

try pumpkin, rhubarb, prunes they are all good tasty foods that will help him go, there are heaps of others but i find they work best and make sure plenty of fibre in foods, also drinking water or lots of fluids will help.

it may take a couple of weeks for his digestive system to adjust so dont panic too much, good luck.

Re: constipated

Hi,

I always gave my boys oatmeal (only a little bit at first - it fills them up quickly).  The oatmeal will definitely regulate him.  Still have to make sure my youngest eats it often due to a constant constipation problem since he was a baby.  This has been the magic cure for us!

Oh yeah...cheese will causes constipation.

Hope this helps.

Re: constipated

I always massage my daughters tummy lightly...that helps getting thing moving.

Also always offer some water after solid now, even a sip helps lubricate the system.

Consipation comes from the body taking to much moisture out before it's past so a little water helps.

Re: constipated

Hi, I have been told that a teaspoon of brown sugar in their water helps. something to do with treacle in it. It helps my daughter.

Cheers Dee
