Yes, I have used it... now I have a 2 1/2 year old and 5 month old twins. 
In general your temperature would be at a certain level until the day after you ovulate, when it would be slightly higher. Your temperature would stay at that higher level for about 2 weeks and go back down on the day you get your period. It starts all over again, after that. When you get pregnant, the temperature wouldn't dip back down.
Charting your temp would have to be done at about the same time each day before you get up out of bed. Do not flactuate more than 30 minutes.
