Bubble recipes

Hi All!

I am wanting to make some bubbles to show my Daughters (I know my 18mo will just LOVE it!), but I was wondering if anyone knows any good recipes for making really good bubbles! (ie. water and detergent is obvious, but does anyone add anything else, and/or how much detergent do you use), and also what are some good materials to use as the "wand" thing that you dip into the bubble mix and then blow through to make the bubbles (sorry about being so vague, I keep getting a mental blank when I want to describe something! LOL!).

Also, has anyone discovered some other activities that are really good (but also really easy to do) to spark the imagination of their young children??

Cheers,

Pia

Oooohhh bubbles!! Fairyfloss is so right the glycerine is great! Makes big bubbles! You know what makes a great bubble wand? Save the bags from onions or whatever the net mess ones and stretch over a hanger that you've made in to hoop, makes tons of bubbles and is soooo much fun. I love bubbles.

Ivory dish soap and a little water works well too.

Either of these sites give some really good info on bubbles and making bubble wands.

Re: Bubble recipes

Tah!

I don't have any glycerine (that I know of, unless it can be called something else??), but the shampoo and water idea sounds good.

Thank you.
