If you find what you would like on eBay, awesome, but I don't limit myself to it. If you are shopping online for retail items, try sites that aggregate retail listings. Some of the best are
Froogle.com - google's "Shopping" search engine Deals.com - a newer offering that indexes amazon, buy.com and many other retailers
Pricegraber.com - old classic
bizrate.com - still a pretty good source for deals.
If you are in Australia then don't forget Oztion.com - Australian eBay alternative - their prices are often much cheaper and the company is much easier to deal with than ebay if there are problems.
I have sold/bought through both and much prefer Oztion.
ive been ebay shopping for years myself ,, ive only ever had two items that have never come to me .. always look at the sellers ratings and comments from other buyers make sure that they are a trusted seller also ,, i love ebay
Target is great, for the US. Amazon.com as well. I love Ebay, I buy and sell on it and have never had a problem. With it you can always ask questions, just watch out for shipping, some people make it way outragous!
There are 2 sellers through ebay that I love doing business with. They have top brand name clothing, for a really good price. One of them has a deal where if you spend $200 in one transaction, you get free express postage. That means, your postage is completely free!
Both have very good reputations and I have had no problems with either. I always check feedback ratings when going on an ebay hunt, and always set my limits.
I purchase from ebay all the time and havent had any issues. Always check the feedback percentages of the seller I wont purchase from anyone below 98%...to begin with I only purchased in Australia but have now ventured to international sellers....touch wood all good so far :-)
I also use freecycle as I have found them to be an excellent source for all sort s of thing and they are local.
I can also recommend emailcash as they have a list of reliable suppliers and you also gain points which can convert to cash....(not much but everything helps these days) for your purchases.
Online shopping can be hazardous but it can also provide an excellent way to purchase items, check the stores refund policy, ask for catalogues and payment options and go with the one you feel most secure with...best wishes and happy shopping!
I do the exact same thing and buy from ebay and get off freecycle, and i also go down the local op shop as they sell kids clothing for 50c each and that's everything, and i usually buy like about $20 worth each time.
Ebay is very reliable, and honest and so is freecycle.
I do most of my clothe shopping on Ebay and haven't yet had any major hassles . . . Most sellers list measurements with their clothing items and as long as you check your measurements you should have no worries.
I have brought ALL of my 18month olds clothes, new and used of Ebay and have saved a fortune! ! ! !
I use ezibuy and have no probs. Although they have varying fits eg classic fit which is quite small. They do have a sizing chart and they a re fine with returns.
I actually shop with an online store on ebay, that has some fantastic gothic style clothes. Haven't had a problem with them, good sizing, good quality. That is if you are looking for new. If looking for second hand, I haven't had experience with buying clothes, just getting clothing from Freecycle.
Usually I prefer to actually try clothes on, as sizing can be so different.
