Re: insomnia and pregnancy

I know exactly how you feel.....I am 38 weeks and havent slept for weeks...

I have tried everything and Im sorry to report nothing works!!

With the heat and being extremely uncomfortable I guess it is something that we just have to deal with..

Not long to go and it is all worth it in the end..

Take care

Belle

Re: insomnia and pregnancy

hi,

i remember that it was horrible, i tried a little bit of lavender oil behind the ears, across my forehead and at the back of my knees as i suffered restless legs syndrome with both my pregnancies and some warm milk as well. i find  my sleeping was a little better but also at this stage of insomnia i was actually in pre labour.

i hope all goes well and put your feet up and rest. :)

Re: insomnia and pregnancy

Hey gorgeous,

The only thing that helped me sleep was a body pillow. It was the only way I could get comfortable.

I don't think any women get any sleep this late in so tell bubs to hurry up!LOL

Take care,

Dee

you need to relax you are stressing your self out you need to drink plenty of water and stop drinking coffee and relax your body when you go to bed dont worry about anything and get hubby togive you a massage of a night time before you go to sleep

Re: insomnia and pregnancy

Oh, I can relate..especially with my pregnancy with the twins.

With me, I found it more comfortable to sleep sitting/relicing instead of being fully horizontal. But then again, you may find that any position will get uncomfortable if you stay in it a long time,  so I would suggest to try and lie down in a comfy lounge chair that reclines and get naps whenever you can. Having plenty of naps during the day, you can get up and move around in between, and still get rests.

Good luck!!

Re: insomnia and pregnancy

Hi Izzy,

I think sitting up/ reclining might just help, I'll give it a try.

Thanks
