A horrible night

Last night my little one who is just over 10 months woke (seems to be becoming a habit!) and we left her as she was just grizzling.  My hubby and I said we would not go into her until it escalated into an emotional cry.  This went on for over 2.5 hours she would almost be asleep and then ark up again.  No one was getting any sleep so then i just bought her into bed with us which I know was not the right thing to do but we needed sleep.  I feel terrible that i get it go on for so  long only to get no where.  I want her so much to be able to self settle herself like she used to but now she just wants me to be there and it's driving me nuts!

Re: A horrible night
Well.....I suppose I will get boo'd for this one LOL but here goes.

Our girl is 3 and sleeps in our room any how(we now use hers for amoures (sp) jaunts) it has been easier for all of us. we have our queen pushed up against her king single and now we all get a great nights sleep (plus I know no-one will sneak in and steal her, they have to get through us first)

Hope you find a solution
regards

Re: A horrible night
hi there.
Is there perhaps a chance that she could be teething? Bubs who are teething generally wake up more through the night and grizzle because they are in pain.
If she isn't teething, maybe she is waking because she is hungry, or because she is hot? I know the weather here has been extremely hot - to the point that i have to open the bathroom window all the way and turn on the air conditioner, with the fan also blowing right at me without any sheets or blankets on.
If she isn't hot, then perhaps you could try giving her a product called calm, about 15 minutes before bedtime, then another dose when you put her to bed.
Brauer makes this product and it is made from all natural ingredients and is paracetamol and ibuprofen free.
Cheers
