Lexi(5mths old) has nappy rash & its bleeding. She has never had it before, I am putting zinc & castor oil cream on it & leaving her nappy off as long as possible.
Something else to try if your in Oz, track down a perfect potion supplier and get their beautiful baby bottom balm. My son got really bad nappy rash to the point of bleeding when my mum accidentally put him in huggies nappies (he reacts to them), it cleared it up within a couple of days
Oh poor little Lexi. My daughter had bad nappy rash afew times and it always goes away when i apply egg. Yup just an egg, the normal eggs you have for breakfast. You just beat an egg and put it in a container and apply abit onto babys skin. No need to add anything else just that. You can put babys diaper on straight away or you can wait a while if u want. But it always works for me, i notice that it goes away within the next 2 nappy changes. My sister has 5 kids and has always used this remedy.
Try it out, I promise u it will do wonders.
Thanks,
Margaret
PS. When you're done applying the egg, put the container in the fridge and apply it with every diaper change until it goes away. use a fresh egg everyday.
Sorry to hear about poor Lexi! When my daughter got it she would be in real pain. I went to the chemist and they prescribed me special nappy rash cream which cleared it up within a couple of days. Unfortunately I can't remember the brand (I'm so sorry, it was great stuff), but I suggest you visit the chemist (ask the pharmacist) and see what they recommend. I hope she gets better soon.
ok hun, this will work, i promise.i swear by it, my mum does, my sister ended up in hospital with bad nappy rash and this is wht they used too, bicarb soda, (baking soda) one teaspoon in a cup of warm water stir and drip it on then leave in open air. works a treat! or add to water for bath but dont add bubble or anything like that. Let me know how you get on..
Hi dee, poor thing that must be painful! although I have never had to deal with nappy rash before I have always used the Bepanthen cream since birth. I use it once a day after her evening bath and on the occasion where she looks a little raw I use the Bepanthen antiseptic. This was recommended to me and I swear by it. Not sure what you have done in the past....this may help? Also try not to use fragranced soaps or powders down there. I use QV wash in the bath too.
