Re: arghhh i need the loo again!!!!

We have all been there sweetie.  Starting to live in the loo (without my head in it) now too.  I don't drink a lot of caffinated drinks now, as they dehydrate me and make me pee more.  After my oldest was born, before leaving the hospital, I was able to talk with a physitherapist about pelvic floor excercises, which has been of a great help.  It's kind of hard to describe what you have to do without pics, and I've not got the leaflet they gave me any more, so can't scan it in (actually, still waiting on other half to get multifunction centre).  Ask your dr or midwife about it, and see if they have any info they can give you.  Believe me, your lower half and tummy muscles end up somewhat sore and tired, but it is worth the effort.  I was also told to do them any time I could, even hanging out the washing! lol.  It is recommended that all women should do them all the time, regardless of age, in order to keep the muscles tight and prevent incontinence.

Re: arghhh i need the loo again!!!!

yes, your only releif is to give birth. BUT even after the baby is born you could still have problems. If you still have probelms then there are certain excersises that the Dr. will tell you to do. I am sorry to be such a "doggy downer" but the rest of the pregnancy probebly wont get any better. I at times had to wear a personal hygeine pad because I had a cold when I was pregnant and coughed a lot. Sometimes I would trickle a little if I sneezed, coughed or even laughed too hard.

Sorry love and good luck. The best is yet to come when the new baby ariives. My thoughts are with you.

Re: arghhh i need the loo again!!!!

For me it just got progressively worse as the months wore on, but I have a small bladder to begin with & go frequently anyway, so the increase was very very frustrating and annoying, almost makes you want an adult diaper or a cathater LOL.  In my final month I was going every 8 minutes ALL NIGHT, I even seriously considered sleeping naked in the bath and just going there so I could get some sleep.... I couldn't bring myself to do it, but the temptation out of desperation was deffinately there LOL.  Just remind yourself it's not forever and you go back to normal almost as soon as you give birth..... it's all worth it in the end, just a shame the guys can't do it for us LOL.  So I'm afraid you'll just have to continue to wee, wee, wee, all the way home

Re: arghhh i need the loo again!!!!

Like others here, I was running for the loo for pretty much the entire duration of both my pregnancies, its just another part of being pregnant unfortunately. With all that pressure on the bladder, its hardly surprising!

everyone's answer is similar---it's worse with the second. LOL. I have nothing else to add other to stop drinking an hour before you go out.

Hey Jo! I have to tell you that I had the same trouble with Oscar - seems to be worse second time around. Keep avoiding the caffeine & unfortunalty you just have to put up with it. Oh, and keep up your pelvic floor exercises so you don't have any accidents, LOL!

xxoo

Re: arghhh i need the loo again!!!!

You poor thing, I know it was like that with me with my second....caffeine, chocolate, any bit os soda or water did it to me.  Try to hold off from drinking 30-60 min before you know you are going out to help keep you from having to go after your on your way.  Other then that, trying to convience baby not to kick you so much, lol.  I'm sorry, I know its such a pain...Oh, I heard that using a good materninty belt helps alot as it holds the baby and everything up higher.  I've heard this helps releive that bladder pressure.  Good luck!
