White lips

When i was in the bath with Dakota this evening i noticed that her bottom lip was white, like a cloudy colour. Then i looked at her top lip & thats the same. It almost looks like shes got sunblock on them, but hasnt! It doesnt rub off & it seems to be under the skin. It's really strange, does anyone have any idea what this could be?

Re: White lips

If it is not thrush then could it be she just gets too cold. My son is 15 and still to this day his lips turn a freakish blue or purple when he is too cold. When he was younger it used to scare people.

But turning white sounds more like a mouth infection like thrush or a yeast infection. It is very easy to cure. Just make sure from now on whatever she puts in her mouth is clean. By the way, thrush is contagiuos but only if a child sticks something in their mouth from your child's mouth. Good luck and try not to worry till you talk with nurse or Dr.

Re: White lips

My first impression would be thrush, but best to take her to the doctor.

Re: White lips

Im not sure but maybe go to the hospital as it could be something wrong. If it was me i would be seeking medical advice that doesnt seem normal.

Yeah me too, I'd be taking her to a Doctor, thats not sounding right at all.  Maybe it's a deficientcy (sorry about bad spelling) or something, but better to know than to woner, let us know how you go.
