HELP Permanent Ink

Hi

I am a baaad mummy

I have a very darling 2 year old who has just gotten hold of a permanent ink pen.

She has just coloured in the toilet seat her potty toilet seat and the walls in the toilet and the door

She has also happily coloured in the carpet and her computer desk a roller storage box and a chair.

And here i thought she was beside me in the same room happily colouring in her colouring book

She has been casually nattering away to me the whole time like she normally does when she colours in.

Not sure who left the pen down

Oh and she has also coloured in her face arms and legs

Whats a good thing for removing permanent ink

Help

Luv deb

Yes i have been watching her but obviously not close enough

Re: HELP Permanent Ink

Must be the day for it, Tahnae drew with a permanent marker all over the NEW wooden out door furniture, plastic chair and verandah today....i have found that baby wipes are quite good to get permanent ink off.  It worked on the outdoor furniture but i had to rub it quite hard.  Probably depends on the surface but also hairspray is another one.  A lot of elbow grease as well i suspect!

Re: HELP Permanent Ink

Hehehehe! Grub did this when he was about 18mo all over himself, his white top, my lovely pa;e blue wool carpet and a white laminex bedside table. I used Orange Power Multi Purpose cleaner it's in a spray bottle, got it from woolies. There is absolutely no evidence that this event ever occurred.........it took all of it off everything and didn't discolour anything either.

Re: HELP Permanent Ink

I have found tea-tree oil works wonders. I have removed a few stains from my carpet using it - the only thing is your house will smell quite strongly of tea tree afterwards!

Re: HELP Permanent Ink

if you can get your hands on a product called "magic eraser" it wil absolutely solve this problem.  not sure if they sell this where you are, but maybe you can find it online.

Re: HELP Permanent Ink

the magic eraser will take it out of everything (but what's on her).  For that, you might have to wait it out a few days.  LOL.  It'll eventually wear off.  don't ask how I know this.  LOL

Re: HELP Permanent Ink

Have you got a steamer of some sort?  Ink, permenant or not, still has a melting point, and if you can get it warm and wet enough, it should come of a little easier.

Gotta love the creativity of toddlers!  Maybe she is going to be an interior decorator! lol

Re: HELP Permanent Ink

Hi

Metho works well to the walls and doors lol  So well that it dilutes the ink and it runs everywhere leaving a lovely smudge and no paint where the metho originally touched pmsl.....

Worked good on the potty and toilet surface though so one idea down lots to go pmsl
