My 22 month old has been on Lactose free formula for most of her short little life thus far . . She is allergic to ALL diary products . .

One thing I have noticed is that she has thrived on the lactose free formula and seems much healthier than my other two who were on normal formula . .  Although my youngest has other health problems she is thriving from the point of formula . .

Nutritionally there is NO difference. They have just taken out the lactose for babies who are intolerant. I would not put a child straight to lactose free formula unless needed. JMHO. It is very expense.

Hi from an adult point i was lactose intolerant as a baby, had the formula and i have had no health issue, it could only improve from 25 years ago.

I guess it would have to be. They cant sell something that is no good. My son was lactose intollerant and I put him on soy formula. Never had any problems with it and he was able to drink cows milk by 12 months. formula makers would have strict regulations to ahere to so I wouldnt be too worried. Talk to your chemist..

Hey there, when my Daughter was new born she was thought to be lactose intolerant I was assured they are just as good as the "normal" formulas. My Daughter was found to be only mildly intolerable to lactose so she remained on breast. Youn could try asking your child clinic what they know about it
