Without being able to see it, I wouldn't be able to say what it is.  Maybe take bubs to the chemist and get them to have a look.  It might just be a scratch or an insect bite.

I had the same thing with my little one around that age.  She had ultrasounds doe etc and basically I was told by my pediatrician that being female they do need to have some breast tissue there for later development.  And yes it can be more predominant on one side as it was with my girl.  It is probably nothing to be overly worried about but for peace of mind just get it checked as I did..... hope this helps.

Any unusual lumps etc should be checked out by your doctor asap as there are far too many possibilities. My advice would be to make an appointment as soon as possible . .

Is it right on the nipples? Is it both sides? If so, it's the breast - well, not the breast per se. But I've noticed the same with my 9 month old girls.

when girls are first born, this "bump" is actually a bit bigger. The pediatrician explained to me that its because of the hormones from the mom and that it would go down. The bumps did go down but they're still there.
