I am really worried about how I have been feeling. I have been feeling ill everyday. But it's not the usual sick feeling. I don't feel like throwing up or feel overly sick just a ill feeling in my tummy which lasts most of the day. I have passed the 3 month mark and I thought morning sickness usually stopped there and I though morning sickness involved vomiting. Did anyone else feel like this when they were pregnant without the up chuck?? I am starting to stress that there is something wrong!
Unfortunately in my first two pregnancies I also had that - all-day sickness (just a nausea feeling, no actual vomiting) that lasted pretty much the whole nine months :(
yes i have reciently found out that im now 9 weeks pregnant with my second baby, with the first one i got that feeling for about 2 weeks and that was it but with this one i have now been queezy but dont feel like im going to vomit i just feel like when you get really hungry and your tummy starst to ache and you get that "sick" feeling, i dont know about you but have you been feeling really "light headed and dizzy" aswell??? i have that constantly on top of the queezness, i thought there was somthing wrong too but my dr said that it quiet normal for some girls to be sick there whloe pregnancy... lets hope its not me... if you are concerned go to the dr and ask for a blood test to see if somthing is abnormal. good luck
I had morning sickness (feeling sick all day) for four and a half months. Nothing cured it but I did get some relief by burning lavender insense sticks .
I remember the final time it started to subside. I had two lavender sticks burining and I was watching Interview with a Vampire. That was the best I felt for a long time. Was it Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Antonio Banderas, Christian Slater or the Lavender. We shall never know.
Hi there, sorry to hear you are feeling so ill! I was SOOOO lucky and the only time I felt ill was when I smelled seafood! ( Living in the middle of the desert it didn't happen often thankfully!) However a close friend of mine who was 2 months less pregnant than I was dreadfully ill. She swore by Ginger...She had a cup of ginger tea first thing in the a.m ( she said it worked even better when hubby bought it into her and she drank it before getting up) then sipped ginger beer and sucked on crystalised ginger. I know on the days she didn't do this she spent a great deal of the time vomiting! She swore by it. Also eating small amounts of healthy food such as multigrain bread, nuts such as unsalted almonds and cashews, bananas, basmati rice ( low GI) and pasta with non creamy sauce, lean protein such as chicken breast, fish and lean red meat, often so that sugar levels don't peak and dip drastically can also help. My sister also had accupunture to relieve her nausea and said it helped enormously. You may find that the nausea eases off in the next few weeks. Fingers crossed! It seems that it is related to how sensitive your body is to the hormones released during pregnancy. When the hormone levels are drastically on the increase ( and decrease! ) particularly during the first 3 months, is when the ill feeling is the worst. Good luck!
Thanks Katierose. Today I am 15 weeks and it is starting to settle. I have tried herbal tea and herbal tablets but with no luck. I hate ginger beer but even tried that. I did find a cold milo helped a little but now I am just so glad it is ending. With my other I was sick through the WHOLE thing and lost so much weight! I am just glad it isn't the same this time round!!
Am glad to hear that you are starting to feel much better! It must be awful! I am such a sook when it comes to nausea and vomiting that I am sure it be quite horrendous! Mind you, I didn't get through my pregnacy entirely free of awful things...but at least no nausea!!! Best wishes, hope you feel great from here on in!
Morning sickness doesnt always involve vomiting! In fact, not all pregnant woman get morning sickness! My first pregnancy i didnt get morning sickness at all but with my last pregnancy boy did i feel nauseated all the time. Morning sickness can last right up until the end of the pregnancy.... it just depends on the person who is pregnant and how much hell the little one wants to put mummy through before coming out into this world haha.
If you get too agitated from the morning sickness, see your doctor and get some maxalon.... it works wonders!
babe i was sick from conception. Yes a few hours after sex. LOL till and during i was in labour. LOL with Charlie i lost almost 30kg i was 95kg when i fell pregnant with her at my 21st and then when she was born i was 62kg
I was on tablets until 8.5 months as I was actually throwing up multiple times per day all the way through.... an awful pregnancy but (well until the terrible two's kicked in) a good result. Ginger beer is good, or salt ad vinegar chips (vinegar is a natural tummy settler). If you actually throw up, go to the Doctor and get soemthing, other than that there's a herbal tablet that is for morning sickness but I found it didn't take the nausea away at all, but did stop the heaving by half. Must be having a girl with a heap of hair (thats what did it to me hehe sigh!)
I hate to say it but it sounds normal. I was suffered nausea until Mia was actually born. I vomited most times but sometimes it would be days of just feeling sick. It was awful and at times I would just break down and cry.
I did see my OB about it and he prescribed some non harmful medication but that didn't help either. If you are worried check it out but you may just have to grin and bare and it and hold on to the thought that it really is worth it.
With my first child, I was seriously ill with morning sickness for about 6 months and even had to have 3 stays in hospital. Some women can experience morning sickness all the way through pregnancy. Not vomiting means you are lucky, being on my 5th child now, I am about 21 weeks and still having days where the toilet and I are best friends. It is different for everyone and maybe you are having a boy, who knows. I doubt there is anything wrong, just your body coping better than a lot of womens in pregnancy.
i was like that with jake too, but if ur worried ask ur midwife just to make sure but i doubt its anything to worry about.. just another joy of veing pregnant unfortunatly...
Hey, i feel exactly the same as you most days..Im 23 weeks and have not thrown up at all but i do get an all day sickness feeling most days, other dyas i feel totally drained and no sleep is enough.I think alot of weird things goon in our body while pregnant and you will find most are fine. What your saying is fine but if there is anything ever serious be sure to ask your midwife.Good Luck with the pregnancy.
I don't think theres anything wrong. Some people have morning sickness that can last the entire duration of their pregnancy. I myself have a fear of vomiting so although I did get yucky feelings, I never threw up. During pregnancy theres a lot of changes happening so you might feel sick on and off. If you are really worried I would recommend you go and see your Doctor, but I'm sure everything will be fine. Try not to think about it too much.
I would be one of those women who felt nauseated all the time but never did throw up. But mine happened in within the first 3 months though. The nausea was so bad with my first that I was popping all sorts of candy in my mouth. I even tried one of those bracelets that puts a pressure on a pressure point on the wrist. Like I said, I never did throw up, so maybe it worked.
