rhiannon (18months) has had a rash on her legs since she woke up today, it looks a bit like nappy rash except for the fact that it is not on the inside of her nappy. just changed her and put her to bed and found that it has spread to her arms and face and is a bit swollen. do any of you have any idea what it could be? i have not changed washing detergents or cleaners of any sort in the house. i's a bit worried and totally stumped as to what it could be.
we tried to get in to the doc but they are shut for the whole easter weekend.... grrrrr! the rash has spread to more of her face and now covers her hands but she is still just as crazy as ever, we rang health direct and they recomended we just keep an eye on her for the day. thanks to you all for your help and advice.... much appriceated ::)'s from becca!
I've noticed with our girls, they all get odd rashes at different times. Not always caused by heat, but can be caused by allergins in the air and temperatures/ weather that swings from warm to cold and sunny to wet.
definately look at the diagram that dannii has left but it could be a form of heat rash especially around that area even though they havent got nappy rash when they do go toilet it can dribble and leave every where else sensitive i have this problem not when i dribble or wee myself, he he not that i know of anyway,..... but when my legs rub together and am wearing irritable trousers on my legs try hydroquatazone cream from docs or chemist has a mild steroid in them which takes the inflamation away i swear by it helps me loads...
hey, yeh that be a good idea, its better just to be sure everthing is fine. All people take the weather differently so even tho it hasnt been to hot her clothes may have irritated her and made her sweat and given a rash, but just keep a good eye on her..I hope she is well and gets better soon!!
