Leaking baby boys!

Please help, I have a 7 week old boy and i am forever changing his clothes and sheets everytime i change his nappy, he just leaks right through.  I have tried several brands from the cheapest to the dearest, even trying the next size up.  I have now put him in cloth nappies which i used with my two girls and so far no leaking but, could anyone recommend a good quality disposable nappy or any tricks to keeping little boys dry as i didn't really want to do the whole cloth nappy thing this time...any advice would be HUGELY appreciated

Sorry, no help here! lol.  I only got girls!  You could try getting nappy liners and putting a couple of them in the nappy close to the groin so that when he pees, it goes into those first, not the nappy.

Re: Leaking baby boys!

we are big fans of the Pampers but that trick about pointing it down instead of up was one I forgot at the beginning after the second baby.  LOL.

Re: Leaking baby boys!

I used to have the same problem with my son when he was a baby. I found the best nappies (and also one of the cheapest!!! BONUS!!!) was the Mamia nappies from Aldi.

I was so impressed with them that I'm now using them for my 9 month old daughter. She usually wears the same nappy all night and I have NEVER had a leakage problem with her!!!

Also... just a heads up for the future... the Mamia training pants/pullups from Aldi are also BRILLIANT and are SOOOOOO much better than the Huggies pullups (I found them useless!!)

I always recommend the Aldi brand nappies/pullups to my friends because I am so impressed with them. At around $16 for a pack of about 50 nappies and $16.99 for a pack of 28 pullups they are also by far the best value for money!!!

Hope this helps!!!

Re: Leaking baby boys!

We were having a few problems when bubs was younger, we were useing Huggies then tried a cheeper brand but it was worse so now we are back to Huggies and haven't had a problem.  When I was in hospital with bubs (he is our first) we were told that you have to pull the sides out so that it has a bit of a frill (hope that make sense)  also I always pull the back up after putting it on just to make sure it is secure.

Re: Leaking baby boys!

Oh yeah, after reading Jess' comment you have to have the penis in the correct position ie: pointing down.  Not to the side or up!

Re: Leaking baby boys!

I have never ever had a problem with Pampers except on the odd occasions where when I put my sons diaper on and his penis is well a little to close to the edge...   Oh and that usually only happens when  I buy the wrong size diaper.. I see four but pick up the five next to it. . I hate it when I do that...

Good luck..
