What do you think??

Hey this may sound a little silly but i just want to know others thoughts...

I know that an under active baby can be dangerous like if you dont feel them move for a long period of time my question is : Can an over active baby mean anything bad?? Ive asked my doctor awhile ago and he said it means there healthy but im worried the baby boots me so much that he wants out!!

Did anyone have a baby that was very active on the inside and everything was fine??   Does this mean his going to be a hand full??

Thanks in advance.

Dannii xxo

Re: What do you think??

Hi Dannii,

My daughter kicked all day and all night and she is now the most laid back 5 month old. She spends most of the day and night asleep. She had been sleeping through the night from the time we took her home from the hospital. So in answer to your question i guess you just have to wait till your son is born.

Good Luck,

Juzzy

Re: What do you think??

This is something they don't tell you about.  When bubs is that active, even you can't keep up, it usually means that they have just been through a growth spurt and are ready to play all day.  When the movements become less frequent, and you are that tired you are being chased by Purple Smiley's on mInti (oh no, I should have stayed in bed today!  Thanks DA! lol), then chances are you and bubs are going to expand.

Other reason why movements can feel non stop is because of the way he is laying.  If he is facing your belly button, then you will feel the movements more than if he were facing your tail bone.

Just had 2 days of super activity here, and I think might still have a couple more to go.  I'm using my belly to rest my arms on (I'm that big now! lol) and someone is doing there best to help me with my typing!

Re: What do you think??

Hi Danni,

I found during my pregnancies that if I was resting the baby would be active.  Walking around seemed to rock them off to sleep.  If I ate alot of chocolate or had coffee or coke they would go berserk, kicking, rolling and stretching.  I ended up giving up coffee and coke and only had a little chocolate....can't live without chocolate   =)

After they were born they each had very different personalities.  Two are very laidback ; one is very active and busy; one is hyperactive and he now he's a teenager he loves coke and energy drinks.

Active children are quite easy to raise, you just take them to the park alot and buy trikes and playgyms for the garden.  When they get too boistrous in the house you just take them outside to burn of all that energy.

You little boy sounds very healthy.  Good luck.

Re: What do you think??

Both my boys were extremely active during the pregnancys and now the 3 year old is a little of a handful and the one year old is quite placid! Every child is so different, but no I don't think an overactive baby means anything is wrong.

If you are asking for personal experience, then, YES.  He is going to be a handful.  I thought my son was going to kick a hole in my stomach.  and now?  well, he's a little crazy.  LOL.  Good luck to you.

Re: What do you think??

My first was very active. It seemed like 24 hours a day he was kicking the hell outta me. But he was the most placid baby, never cried, slept soundly through the night from 6 weeks! He was 6 days old when he was sleeping 6 hours a night!! Even now he is gentle and quiet. I don't think it has anything to do with how active they are :)

Re: What do you think??

I dont know about active in the womb - both of mine were sooo laid back before they were born, and both have been making up for it ever since, especially the quietest, DD1!

Re: What do you think??

Each time i've had an active kicker while on the inside, one came early, the other two late. They all have different personalites now. Its a good healthy sign. I'd be more worried if he didn't move much.

Re: What do you think??

All 3 of mine were extremely active on the inside. Now 2 of them on the outside are still active, the middle one you sometimes have to search for him as he will be reading a book somewhere hiding to get out of doing jobs.

The amount of activity in the womb is not an indicator of how they are gonna be on the outside. That all comes down to genes and how you bring them up.

Re: What do you think??

Hey Dannii,

Oh my dont worry, When i was pregnant with chloe boy wasnt she active she would be going going for about an hour stop for a bit and start again . I thought she wanted out byut the  little bugger still went over . Cant really answer if it will effect your bubs behaviour every child is differant but chloe was a brilliant baby and is a good toddler too she throws the odd tantrum but that is all really.

Re: What do you think??

Hi Dannii

Hahaha you crack me up! I asked my doc the same question. Austin kicked me and kicked me and kicked me. I told my workmates that i was sure he was going to be a kickboxer when he got older. Not only did he not come early, but he stayed in there for an extra 2 weeks. Cant blame him really, it was winter! LOL

Every baby goes thru ups and downs and no baby i think is ever going to be "easy" but i'm pretty sure that how much he moves now has nothing to do with how much of a handful he is.
