i have lived with this condition undiagnosed for three years until last year then in jan of this year they put me in for surgary and now i have to take primolut n and dimetriose they pain can be unbearable i know but if you have to try panadiene or speak to your doc about taking something stronger or even the pharmacy/chemist might be bale to tell you the best thing to take i usually take 1x panadeine and 1x panadol

Re: endometrosis..... how do you cope with the pain....

Ok to help out I have some info.

Primolut N contains norethisterone and is a Progesterone without estrogen.
It does NOT prevent pregnancy and you must use other protection that is non hormonal (so not the pill). It is to try and help correct your bleeding.

Ponstan contains Mefenamic acid. It is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory. Ponstan should not be used in combination with painkilling doses of aspirin.

So basically I have searched for the last 30 minutes and I can't see anywhere that says you can't also have panadol. Infact I have found the opposite with a lot of people saying they are on Ponstan AND panadol.

Hey Chicki,

Panadol is usually a no-no when you're already taking something with Paracetamol in it. But I will agree with mum2b84 here and say give your local Chemist a ring, ask to speak to the pharmacist and talk to them about what you can and can't take with your new meds.

I did that with the Children's Panadol I have at home - K is teething (as you know lol) and we only have Children's panadol for 1-5 yr olds so I rang the pharmacist and she calculated how much of it I could give K according to her weight.

From what I know panadol is ok with anti inflam. Best thing to do is take your medication with you to the pharmisist and ask them what pain relief you can take with the medication you are on.
