Definitely talk to the doctor about it- but don't be concerned or afraid of asking the doctor.  It's always better to check with the doctor when it comes to bleeding then trying to self diagnose.

Re: yucky poo

This is a very normal thing.  It can take up to 8 weeks for your uterus to shed all the excess lining from being pregnant and with it some blood.  When you are straining it is causing pressure on the uterus and thus the build up is being forced out.  Even if you stop bleeding for a time say a week or two, you can start to bleed again.  I stopped after about 2 weeks from having my second and then about a week later it started again, and then on and off.    As long as you are not having any abnormal pain and it's not foul smelling it's normal.  If either of the later are present seek medical attention as it could be an infection.  Hang in there it will pass.

Hi i found 2 reasons what may be causing this...Sometimes any kind of major muscle activity from down there can result in your body getting rid of things that otherwise may just be reabsorbed or it may just be a light period and when pooing it triggers teh vaginal bleeding..

Hope this helps..Also if this keeps going on for longer than a week id go to the doctors just to be sure or maybe even ring your midwife or health nurse, they will know what it is definetly.

Re: yucky poo

are you still having post partum bleeding? It could be that and the blood comes out when you strain.

I bled for 9 weeks after I had my first.
