Re: hi

my aunty was 25 weeks before she knew as she had her period through out it and never felt sick or put on weigh. then she was rushed the the maternity hospital and pretty much stayed there until Mayo was born as she had a low lying placenta and she almost bled out a few times

Re: hi

This reminded me of a friends Mom, when I was at school.

Her family had been tesaing her for ages over putting on weight. During the summer holidays they were planning a holiday. Shed not felt too good but hoped getting away would help. Thay had the car packed, children strapped in and she thought she was going to have a diarrhea attack, which she thought was what was her causing disscomfort. She dived to the loo and promptly had a 6 pound baby on the floor. Both Mom and baby had to be rushed to the hospital via anbulance to get chequed out. My friend hated the baby for ages as they obviously had to miss the hoilday.

This was her 5th baby so you would have thouhgt she'd have noticed, but she also had her periods the whole time, only much lighter. Being 49 she thought she was starting the 'change' as it was called back then.

I hope things turn out ok for you.  Lisa.

Re: hi

I would go to the doctors and have an ultrasound done, my sister is having the same problems at the moment with weight gain and feelings of pregnancy. They are in the process of looking for overian cists (not sure if that is the correct spelling)

Hope that helps

Re: hi

A friend of mine says she didn't know she was pregnant until she was 5 months gone so Don't leave yourself wondering, buy a pregnancy test and find out whats going on...

Re: hi

I worked with a girl once who didn't turn up for work one day. Why? Cos she had given birth and hadn't even realised she was pregnant! Apparently she had gained a little weight, but she was still getting periods and was even still on the pill. It amazes me that this happened. She came into work a few days later holding a baby! So yes, it is possible. But I'm sure if you did a pregnancy test it would turn positive, as when your pregnant you would have pregnancy hormones in your urine.

Re: hi

It is possible to be pregnant without realising it and you can still get your periods too, though it is rare.

I would suggest asking for a blood test and possibly an ultrasound to see what is going on.

Re: hi

Hi,

My stepmom's neice - rather a large and very short lady, thought she was going into menopause and between her and the GP decided that she was getting recurrent urinary tract infections.  On Christmas eve about 20 years ago, she had really bad cramps and spent most of the morning on the toilet or in the bath.  Later in the afternoon her little girl was born - in the bathroom!  She had no idea what so ever!  As I said, she was big...

Re: hi

Not me, but  friend of mine was 6 months pregs before she stopped having periods, the little lines started showing up on pregnancy tests, and by then she was certain that she was despite doctors telling her she wasn't because she could feel the baby moving a lot. An ultrasound eventually proved she was right. It can happen, it's just very rare.
