Re: AT WHAT AGE

The recommended age is 12 months, but you could try 1/4 milk and 3/4 formula now.  This will gradually introduce the dairy into her system and might avoid problems with her refusing the milk too.  After a week make it 1/2 and 1/2 and then go to 3/4 and 1/4.  Then on to full milk.

Re: AT WHAT AGE

i asked the nurse when my son was younger and she advised that 12 months was a good age but dont mix it with water as it is taking the calcium out of the milk but give them water in a cup/ bottle through the day as they may get constipated the first few days as it is a change

hope this helps

Re: AT WHAT AGE

Does she like the taste? IF she does then you should be fine. If not you may need to add a little to her formula a bit at a time till the bottle/cup is all milk. I had the boys off formula by their 1st birthday so anytime now would be fine I am sure.

Re: AT WHAT AGE

I started my son on cows milk mixed with boiled water at 12 months of age. Then i slowly put less water in and he seemed to take that with no problem.

Experts say that 12 months is the recommended age for cows milk.

Re: AT WHAT AGE

Usually it is 12 months. 11 months should be fine, just not full strength. When you mix her formula, add a little cow's milk. Over time, add more cow's milk, lessening the formula.

Re: AT WHAT AGE

I put mine on cows milk about 8-10 months boil the milk first but use about 1/4 of boiled water with it too and a little bit of sugar (sugar help with constipation when they 1st start on cows milk). As long as they are having a balanced diet with vegies and fruits a variety of foods it is ok.It varies from parent to parent on what age is acceptable.

Re: AT WHAT AGE

Experts say wait at least 12 months before switching to cow's milk (full fat). And then by 2 years old, you can switch to 2% cow's milk if you like.

Some babies do not like the taste of cow's milk, so you may have to ease into the transition by mixing formula and cow's milk (try half and half and if your child can still taste the difference, try 1/4 cow's milk to 3 /4 formula). Thankfully my son never minded cow's milk.
