I agree with you.I don't see the point of minti moolah and giving people gifts and compliments. You can pay your friends compliments anyway in their lounges etc without doing the other things. And yes, I am also having tech probs-still can't upload new photos!! ,Lisa xx

I have problems with the minti mail ometimes it can be frustrating then i just end up sending it in hotmail just easier until i get used to the system LOL

As for the compliments i dont think they have anything to dp with the ranking or weather your liked or not i guess it depends what you send out hope u work it all out soon .

I've found the only way I can send a message through minti is if I visit one of the people I am trying to send it to and then adding the other members from there.

You should also try clearing the cache and cookies on your computer.  Everytime Minti does an upgrade, I have to do this or I can't use the site properly.

As for the compliments, they are nice, but I find some of them just aren't me! lol.  I don't think they affect your ranking at all.

WOW...Compliments...I have a few but don't think they are anywhere near as important as the brilliant advice that all minti members offer each other.

I have found a whole new world, even if my wife gets jealous when I spend too long on here.

As for the minti mail I am not sure really what your problem is but I was having a little difficulty until I switched to Firefox.

About the only gripe I have with the minti site is that the spell check (little red underline) keeps picking up the word "Minti" as incorrect. Doesnt affect me personally but would have thought it would have been added to the dictionary.

So there you go...my 2 bobs worth.

you must have accepted them at some point.

also like anything in life its not just about receiving sometimes half the fun is giving.

sometimes if you dont give how do you expect to receive?

this is one of the first lessons i taught my children when they were young. they are adults now. they still give without expecting anything in return. when its given with love its usually shared back again

i for one try to answer and read as many blogs as possible but its hard when there are thousands . sometimes we both have to reach out and "meet half way"

i hope you give it a little time to get used to the new system i still dont understand my moolah points or how i go about giving presents and whether they come off a point system but  when i get the "time" i will read into it and give it a try

the first thing people need to do if they realise they dont have any compliments is to start giving some out to others... you are pretty assured of getting some back.

We have identified another member who is having issues with the mail system, so you aren't the only one - we are working to fix this issue.

In regards to the compliments, it's just light hearted fun. I can see that people may get jealous, but there's no real need for it. It's like in Facebook you have the gifts - do you get jealous if your friend sends another one of your friends a gift but doesn't send it to you? It doesn't mean your friend doesn't love you the same amount.

What I don't like is how hard it is to follow the watchlists!! I dont want all the old comments, just the new ones!

i know how you feel i am on here every day and i try to contribute but i get no compliment  but i get nice messages in my lounge which makes up for the lack of compliments thanks guys

For me personally, I think the compliments are lighthearted fun. If I were given the choice of a minti friend dropping me a minti mail or dropping me a minti compliment, I prefer the mail. 

Try not to put anything into not getting compliments. In most cases, people are giving compliments to those who are more visible (as in active lately). If you haven't been on or not been active as much lately, it just meant you weren't on the first wave of compliments. I myself am guilty of the "out of sight, out of mind" mentality - I forget to check on friends that haven't been on very much!

You're very much entitled to your own opinion but the compliments are just intended as a quick way of posting a comment about somebody you respect in the community.

i am so sorry you feel this way i actually like the new mail system as i dont have to write to emails to two diffrent people we can do it as a group email . and with the compliments i like accepting them and sorry you havnt got any i just sent you heaps . i can see where you say some people will get jealous and upset
