This is not a parenting question, but minti related. I have received two emails recently originating from minti from women wanting to meet me. They state they have read my profile, which obviously they haven't. Both emails are wanting to know if I am the "man they think I am" HELLO! If you read my profile, you know I am a women and happily married. Both emails were worded very similarly. Anybody else getting these. Anyone know whats going on? Has minti turned into matchmaking service?
Minti tries very hard to keep spam bots out, but occasionally some do still seep thru.
Chances are someone would have already reported the member that sent you that email, but if it happens again, please click on their profile and report them.
I am also getting simular emails but on my hotmail account, they too tell me that they like my picture and think I am attractive and that they like my profile, then thay give an msn contact to add, so I attempted to to do that and it seems to be computer generated as I tell them not to contact me and where did they get my information from....all they say is I'm horny etc ...stuff i'd rather not say and for me to follow them to a web cam address. Unfortunatly the more I try to contact and remove myself the more emails I get so now I just delete as soon as I receive them. It is highly anoying and very frustration. Thanks for your time......I just found this site and its very helpfull......I find myself still doing the puzzles over a few weeks sometimes months and never get to send them but now I can get the help I need THANK YOU!!!
On your hotmail account you can go into your settings and adjust the filter to the high setting. This allows only thise addresses in your contacts to come through to your inbox. Others that aren't on your contact list will go straight to your junk folder, and these spam/phishing ones shouldn't come through at all. Any that do slip through, you just report as junk and that's the end of them. I don't get any spam on my hotmail or yahoo accounts, but bigpong (erhum! BIGPOND!) is atrocious and they only give a spam filter if you pay for it.
ive had lots that ask if i am in need for finding the right person and also i need spiritual heeling according to my profile, apparently i can be saved but if that was the case surely it would have happened years ago!!!! he he he
Hello there, well it sounds like you have a spammer, the curse of the internet. If you can trace the member who sent you the e-mails, report them and then they will be removed from the site. Seems to be the silly season for spammers at the moment.Sheesh.
I looked up both user names (baby1010 and nancylady1) and neither are minti members. I'm just going to keep deleting them as they come. I'm afraid to trace them through their email since that might trigger more emails or something worse. Thanks for all the answers!
