Re: sleeping routine change

mine did this around this age as well.  Part of his problem was a growth spurt (he was hungry) and the other part was teething.  So I bulked up on food before he went to bed and I gave him something for the teething.  Even just something to chew on seemed to make him feel better.

Re: sleeping routine change

My little one started doing this at around the same age.  We had to bottle feed so she wasn't missing the breast and I'm sure she wasn't hungry either.  It was suggested to us that this may be separation anxiety.  We started to leave her for a little while before going into her when she cried instead of racing into her like was always did.  It worked!  She seemed to need a little time to settle herself.  She needed to learn this though. It may take a little while (took our girl about 2 weeks), but just giving them a little time, even as little as several minutes, may work for you.

Re: sleeping routine change

Maybe you could allow your little one to go to bed a little bit later, like between 8-8:30pm.  Might help with the sleep issues.

As for the weaning, he won't starve, so don't give in.  Keep giving him the bottle, he will get it in the end!

He might be going through a growth stage or teething. Are you sure he is not hungry? the only advice i can give you is maybe trying to leave him and see if he puts himself back to sleep....
