Re: water for bub

We were advised to sterilise bottles/cups for the first six months and boil her water until twelve months, which is when their system is strong enough to handle non-boiled water.

Re: water for bub

My partner and I have a theory.  That is if bubs is drinking the bath water (can be impossible to stop them sometimes) and it isn't affecting them, then tap water shouldn't be a problem.

You don't say how old your baby is, but I would suggest boiling water for bottles until about 9 months old but start introducing tap water in a cup from about 8 months.

Re: water for bub

When I took my bubs for his 8 mth check up i asked the helath nurse and she recommended that you keep boiling it until bubs is 12mths. She also said that bubs was crawling around putting any old thing in his mouth so really I could  do what I wanted.

My bubs is now 10mths and from the 8mths we stopped boiling water and gave him plain old tap water.  He loves it.  Hated the boiled water.
