Not parenting but.. about this site

I'm not sure who to direct this to so am putting it here. It's not parenting, but is about this site. I recently worte advice which has been deleted after being reported as not being advice (even though it is).

What is annoying me is that when the article was voted on, 18 voted that it was in breach of code while 23 voted it is not in breach. Now, in my world, when there is a vote, the majority rules, otherwise there is no point in voting. So why is it that my article has been deleted when the majority voted that it is fine????

Does this mean those who vote just get ignored? Someone just makes a decision based on his/her views & not anyone else's? Why have a vote then if the votes do not count? I find this unfair to anyone who is voted on & to those who do vote.

I've just had a look and unless it's just me (late at night), I would say this is definitely a bug and we will be looking into it.

If that's true it is not right. It makes it unfair on those who are given votes and on those who do vote. What is the point of voting if someone takes the vote away?

It would be like voting for the Prime Minister - we all vote then someone else says, "oh, they don't count, we're going to give it to ..."

I think that it should have been kept under those votes.  It is something you will have to take up with admin.

You can contact them through the contact us link at the bottom of any Minti page.

hmmm.. this really looks like something you should mail straight to admin, some members may think its fair others may think its unfair and even though i thought majority rules also, i can't really do anything about it, nor can the rest of the members on here.

maybe try blogging in the report it or not group?

the voting vault, & any other group admin may look at before getting to your minti mail...
