poo

thanx to all for advice on how to heal my painful boobs. i've taken all advice on board. but since i've never bottle fed before i'd appreciate any advice or tips etc. I have noticed her poo has dramatically increased and theres quite a bit off it. The transition from breast to bottle was instant , is this likely to give her a belly ache, mind you she is only 9 days old

Re: poo

So long as you are mixing the formula exactly to the directions you should be fine. Formula fed babies always poop a bit more.

Re: poo

Hi,

Your baby's poo will look very different. DOn't stress too much about that. If she seems like she is having pains and her nappies are really offensive she might not be on the right formula for her. I know when i had to put my daughter on formula when she was a week old it took a few different formulas to find the one the suited her.

Good Luck with it all and if you have any questions regarding bottle feeding feel free to minti mail me.

Re: poo

With breastfed babies there is very little waste so the poos will mlook much different than the formula poos. I would give it a little bit longer and see how she goes. It all depends on what kind of formula you went to. I  know here in the states the best OTC formula to use it Nestle Good Start. It has comfort protiens in it that make it easier for digestion. That is for babies withotu any issues like Reflux of course, they need something even MORE broken down than that....but that's a different story...LOL

Just wanted to add, that Jedd didn't do too well with Enfamil formula's not sure why but those REALLY constipated him badly.

Good Luck.
