Unsure??

Hi for the last week my 10 month old has been getting flushed looking cheeks on and off.. its been pretty cold here but i keep her rugged up and was thinking maybe it was because she got hot? Im unsure why and just need alittle reassurance/advice i think?? She has not acted out of the ordinary and eats and drinks the same amount as usual..

Any advice would be great

Thanks in advance

Steff and Charlotte xx

Re: Unsure??

Have you thought about the possibility of teething?  That can often cause flushed cheeks etc and they don't always lose appetite or behave differently when teething.

Our 1 year old is the same.  She is dressed for the temperature, and still gets really flushed cheeks, but we know there are more teeth on the way.

Re: Unsure??

Colder weather often gives little ones rosy cheeks. If you are unsure as to whether or not she is too warm, feel the back of her neck. If it feels quite hot, then she is too hot, if it feels cold, she's cold.

Re: Unsure??

My 11 month old twins are the same way. They always have rosey cheeks, especially during the winter. And their cheeks are always dry as well. In my case, they have mild eczema. The solution to our problem is to always use a gentle moisturiser. It doesn't make the redness go away, but it helps a lot with the dryness.

Re: Unsure??

Hi u know with my two girls they sometimes get very red and rosy cheek's when they have an,allergy to something .

As in when they have to much dairy product's.

My eldest when she was younger could only drink so milk.

So it maybe an allergy of some sort.

Re: Unsure??

Hmmm, not sure maybe she is teething, is she dribbling alot and chewing on things?  Other than that I'm not sure.
