Designing the perfect Kids room

OK, I need help from all you wonderful Minti parents!  I want to make that perfect Kids room for my baby girl and boy.  I'm really good with arts and crafts, organization not so much.  Their closet is pretty nice, but cramped.  I know it's impossible to have a perfect room, but I want to make one that fits what I need as well as what my babies need.  So any ideas on how to set the room would be great.  What I need are some low-cost ideas, please, as I don't have money to go out and buy shelves and the such.  Also, any tricks to keeping the toys cleaned up and off the floor would be great.  My girl loves to take things out, but still learning to put them back.

If you have pics that would be awsome as well.  Thanks in advance!

Re: Designing the perfect Kids room

the cheapest and easiest crafty thing that you could do to your childrens room is buy some canvas then buy some material in any colour, pattern whatever you want and staple it to the canvas cheap and if ya dont like the colour or pattern its easy rip it off and put another on the canvas simple and easy

Re: Designing the perfect Kids room

if you have extra hanging space in the cupboard hanging shelves (the material ones avalable from $2 stores) are great. i also find to keep my sons room tidy as he has too many toys is to pack them away in a box and only have a few on display / to play with then change them around each week then they are like new and you can keep the room mostly tidy. try garage sales or ebay for some cheap storage options if need. then paint it a nice colour. my sons room is all red and blue (the furniture anyway-its a rental) and this colour scheme brightens up the room and makes it look inviting. all these items for me were from garage sales. hope that helps.
