Re: burning stitch???

i do not have a belly ring but also had these pains. i was told (AGAIN) that it is everthing stretching. My pain was also on my right, but its just the body getting ready.

Re: burning stitch???

Hey,

No i dont think its belly ring, no redness where the actual plastic goes through, its red on the side of my belly button and the pain is next to it. My belly ring hasnt stretched at all, i have a maternity bar, its extra long so it allows you to keep it in.

The pain is mostly gone now, just when i turn or cough its a quick sting.

OMG!  You still have your belly ring in!  Didn't they tell you to remove it at the start of the 3rd trimester?  Your belly is growing very big now, and I would say the sensation you are feeling is due to the belly ring trying to keep hold of its territory.  Take it out, and keep the site clean.

I agree with natelz - I think it could be your belly ring. Maybe take it out as she suggested - or go see your midwife or doctor just to be safe.

Re: burning stitch???

Hi Dannii,

i noticed on your last photo you still had your belly ring in, is the red around the ring?? It could well be the ring causing the pain and discomfort, its finally touching a nerve, thats what my guess is, i was lucky with both my kids and could keep mine, but not everyone can. perhaps you could take it out for a day or so and see if the pain subsides. zif it feels IN your belly i would suggest calling your midwife as soon as possible. It could be anything it could be nothing, but you need to know. Good luck and please let me know how you get on., thinking of youxxx
