Re: Opinions please.
My boys had all of their injections, except my eldest 5, is yet to get his 4yo injections, he has to have them for school, but it is the mmr that causes concern.
You can hold off, it's up to you. Autism week was last week and so you will be hearing a lot in the media about mmr and autism. I don't know there is a link, but you can't be sure. And facts are that the cases of autism have increased to 1 in 100 boys, girls are at a much lesser risk. My understanding is that it has to do with the amount of mercury in the injection and has been likened to mercury poisoning. It may be that because we give the same does to every child regardless whether they are on the 1st or the 100th percentile, they are given the same does, based on age. I don't feel that this is right, and would probably wait a little longer if I had my time over. My 5yo is only 16 kilos, and there are plenty 4yos heavier than him, that is why I have held off on the 4yo injections. It is totally up to you, but I just thought I would tell you what I knew.

Re: Opinions please.
ems
my children had all their vaccinations without any problems. over the years they have become controversial here in australia where a debate has raged whether its worth giving the injections and protecting babies and children . or whether the risks far outweigh the side affects.
it becomes technical maybe people can enlighten you whether they have links back |
